K - I knew there were a lot of shows starting in January that I would want to watch, and lately, I feel like all I'm doing at night is watching TV. I feel so pathetic. What's even more pathetic is that I'm watching The Bachelor. Stop laughing. It's only cuz it's Jason, and I wanted him to find someone other than Stupid DeaAnna. Any who, I'm also watching True Beauty since that's on right after The Bachelor. It's actually pretty hilarious. It's about these people who know they are in a beauty competition, but they don't know that they're also being judged off of their inner beauty (these people are beyond cocky!). I'm also watching The Biggest Loser, and when I can I watch American Idol. We're not even watching 24, although we've watched every other season. Lorin and I decided that we let 24 run our lives. In the past, we pretty much made FHE "watch 24 night" so we thought that would be better for us to try not and watch it at all. Unfortunately, I'm still rushing through FHE so that I can watch Bachelor (and no, Lorin, doesn't watch it with me - instead, I spend the show texting my sisters through out the whole thing). I honestly don't even have the time to be watching these silly shows, but I am!! I need to know that I'm not the only TV junky out there.... is anyone else obsessed right now? Or am I the only loser?

I laughed hysterically when I was in town visiting my family & it was time for family home evening. My sister looked at her watch & proclaimed that my parents had 23 minutes (or something like that) to get it done in before "24" started. Too funny!
I was just thinking of posting the exact same post that you just did! I don't know what my problem is: The Bachelor, American Idol, 90210, and The Office. I'm booked up every night of the week! And of course it is all trash tv. I mean come on, the new 90210? But I just can't stop! haha I think us moms sometimes need a little break from reality! I'm glad I'm not the only one though!
I know how you feel. I have been watching the bachelor and mamas boys on Monday nights. Then biggest loser and now american idol on Tuesdays. Good thing I have Mutual and other activites the other nights!
Oh, I know exactly how you feel. I saw True Beauty for the first time this past week and thought it was so funny! I was so tired, but watched the entire thing. And the Biggest Loser is my favorite! Glad to know I'm not the only one who loves some of these shows!
The DVR has been very effective in our house, though I must warn you: once you get it, you'll never be able to go back to not having it.
You can't cut 24 loose, though. I think the episodes are available at FOX's website!
I am bad to because I have been watching True Beauty. Come on it is so dumb but I just can't help to watch either. My house is a mess and I say to myself "Jolynn, step away from the TV." But it never works.
I know how you feel, just too much good tv to watch! It's so hard to choose!!!
Don't worry I am obscessed too. I record the shows and watch them late at night instead of sleeping :)
I too DVR and then watch late at night. I love me some Bachelor and many many other shows. LOL!!!!
I love tv! Except I love watching weird shows on the sci-fi channel and the cartoon network. I can't believe I just admitted that!
i forget to add...let's plan on getting together next month. I think Dyan said we could do it at the Sargents house!
Obviously you are not alone. I too watch Bachelor and True Beauty is great. I love that the Black guy keeps ending up i the bottom two and then saying, It's not about outer beauty it is what inside that makes you beautiful! He has te right idea just doesn't practice it very well, with the fake children's charity come on guy. And of course there is AI and then the Office and I discovered the Dr.'s this week, and always Ellen. I am a loser and the sad thing is is that it starts at like 3. I need an intervention. :)
Hey Kristyn
We are so excited. It is going to be a lot of fun!! I can't wait to find out what they are. We get to on Feb 13, hopefully they can tell! It will be an adjustment, as we will probably have to automatically update our car into something bigger! I am not sure how our little one will handle it all, but it will be great!!
oh yes i was going to say too much tv is right. They did it on purpose, to hinder family home evening!!
Amen sister, it's crazy. I still have to catch up on last weeks Bachelor, it's on before B goes to bed so I have to watch it online. But then on Tuesdays I have to flip between biggest looser and american idol. I swear, it's no good.
PS - I love "The Secret Journal of Brett Colton" one of my fav for sure!
