Not as simpleWell, I've become the official diaper-cake-maker. I really enjoy doing them, but I have to admit that they are time consuming. When I first started making them, I did them very simple. Being as crazy as I am, I just can't do simple anymore. I know, what's wrong with me? My aunt, Chris, has been my real inspiration. She makes diaper cakes to die for!! I know I'll never be as good as her, but using her inspiration and the crud load of scrapbook paper I have I've been making them for a lot of friends and family. They really aren't hard to do... they just take time. The one issue I have with them is that I don't know if the people receiving them think that's my gift to them or not. I want it to be my gift to them since diapers aren't cheap and I put time and effort into them, but I think they're considered more of a center piece and not a gift as much. What do you think? I need a general consensus whether people consider them a gift or not, so that I don't feel bad when all I make is the cake.... Help?
OH YEAH, AND I'M....
I guess I could have done a separate post for this but thought, "what the hey, I'll kill 2 birds with 1 stone." I'm only 5 weeks but it's been hard hiding it cuz I'm darn right moody and have been throwing up lots. I'm actually kinda glad I'm not feeling great, because that's usually a sign that things are going well. Let's hope they continue to do so.... I CANNOT even tell you how excited we are!! We love our sweet Lily and cannot wait to have another one of her in our home!
