Blaine & Dane - The Black Team
We are SOOOO excited for this season's Biggest Loser. We have watched it the past few years and think it is life-changing. It is awesome to see these people get healthy and happy in a matter of months. Well, this season we know 3 people on the show. Crazy, I know, but it makes watching so much more fun!!
Dane Patterson & Blaine Cotter are the BLACK team and are on Jillian's team. Dane married my friend, Carli Cotter, whom I've known most of my life. Blaine, I've known my whole life. His parents and my parents are best friends and we spent many summers in San Diego staying with Blaine and his fam. We are so excited for these guys. I know their current "Status" I guess you could say, but I don't know if I'm allowed to say anything. I can say though that a few weeks in, together, Dane & Blaine lost more weight than any other "couple" on the show. Cool huh?
The other person we know is Sione Fa (he's on the blue team which is with Bob). He's DJ'ed a few family events and married Brittany Figueroa, a long time family friend (her parents lived on my grandma's street). He is on with his cousin which we don't know, but that's okay, we're still cheering them on.
The winner of the show gets $250,000! Even then, there's a prize amongst all the people who were voted off early. They can still win $100,000!! Not too bad of a prize for second place, wouldn't you say? I just had to make sure everyone knew that these guys were on the show. They are all LDS and are wonderful people. We wish them the best of luck and can't wait to see the season premier - NEXT TUESDAY (the 6th) ON NBC!!!

Don't ruin the show Kristyn! Amazing the changes though. I don't really watch the show much, but it's encouraging.
Hey Kristyn! This is Kim De Francis (Arnell now). I ran accross your blog through Kellyn so I had to check it out. First, your family is adorable! Lily is a little peach and you all look wonderful and happy. Second, I am so excited about The Biggest Loser! It is my favorite show and it'll be even more fun this season to have someone to root for from the beginning! Thanks for sharing that info with everyone. Well I hope things are well, tell your family hello. Take care!
I watch the show relligiosly and will be routing these guys on.
You can also see Blaine's web site at: http://biggestloserblaine.wordpress.com
How cool!! I love this show! Go them!!
Hey Kristyn that is SOOO Weird. Dane and Carli are in my ward! Carli and I are good friends too. We are currently serving in young womans together. What a small world!!!!
I haven't seen Stardust so I will have to borrow it. Hope you had a great New Year. Can't wait to see Lily, we need to hang out or have play group soon.
So-I found this blog googling Blaine and Dane. I watch Biggest Loser and LOVE it and was convinced in about two seconds that those two were LDS. I was pretty sure about the other cousins, too.
Thanks for confirming my suspicions:)
Thanks for your comment on my blog. There's no quicker way to guarantee my love than to tell me you like me:)
Too crazy that you know people on the show, I guess now that you made the connection I sort of do too :)
Love biggest loser, it's the only show I watch faithfully. I totally remember you always talking about the Cotters, I wont write what I remember, i will just leave it at that :) Anyways how ironic you know 3 people that is so cool. We are watching and will continue to cheer them on!
So neat to hear your comments about Blaine and Dane as well as the cousins. I didn't know they were LDS but they are exemplary examples to
all who watch. I couldn't help but be touched by the Green team member who cried when she had to vote for one of the Black team and gave them credit for her success and the help they extended to her.
Oh wow. I was just doing a search on the internet about Dane, Blaine, Filipe and Sione, because I suspected that they were all LDS and I came across this! Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Guess my LDSRadar was right again!
