Easter Egg Hunt

Sitting with grandpa with her red chin (we gave her some jell-o earlier).
Daddy helped Lily find some eggs. He would take her to an egg and she would pick it up.
Another egg.
After picking up the egg she would drop it into her basket.

Lily with her hot daddy. :)

Yesterday we got together with the Merkleys and had a BBQ and an Easter Egg Hunt. Lily is obviously too young to really participate so we helped her out a bit. It's so fun to see that side of the family grow. Kara just had another baby a few weeks ago named Garron Jr. We call him Jeep. He is such a cutie. The Merkleys went from having 2 grandkids for the past four years and now have 4 grandkids that were added just in the past few months. They sure do love them.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Of course, Lil was more interested in the newspaper than the eggs.
Lily had a little bit of help from mom. :)
Hunter was trying so hard to feed her. It's so cute... he sure does love Lily. :)

What's Easter without dying Easter eggs? We got together on the Ritchey side and dyed some eggs. I think Hannah and Emma had the most fun. I have to admit... I had some fun too. It really is just so much fun getting together as family and doing stuff. Maybe next year Lily will enjoy it a little more.

Trip to the Zoo

Lily just loves the zzzzzzoo! Can't you tell?
Hannah puckerin' up for the ape. :)

Last Friday, Lorin, Lily and I went to the zoo with my sister, Tara and her family. It was a ton of fun seeing all the animals and enjoying the nice, breezy day. It was a little crowded because of spring break but it was still fun. Lily fell asleep 15 minutes after we got there and she slept the entire time. I obviously had more fun than her. I honestly could sit and watch the baby orangutan for hours! I'm such a nerd!

Which baby looks more mexican? :)

Who doesn't love having a visitor? My friend, Liz Zamora, came over last week. Her company was much appreciated especially because Lorin was in Tennessee all last week. It was the first time we had ever been apart from each other. :( Fortunately, he is home. Any who, Liz came over with her new baby, Mia. It was great visiting with her and catch up since her baby's delivery. I just had to laugh because both her and Lily are 1/4 Mexican. Mia is also 1/8 Japanese, but when you look at the two it's crazy to think they both have the same amount of mexican in them. Gotta love it!

New Friends

Jaxon, Lily and Abby.
Lily and Abby. They were interlocking arms. Cute, huh?
Adorable girl, Mr. Milk Man and Chubby Baby

Today I got together with Ashley, Amber and Brittany - friends from High school. Three of the four of us have had babies in the past few months, so it was really fun to put all the babies together. Ashley's little girl is named Abby and she's a doll. Amber's little boy is Jaxson and he's a little stud in the making. Brittany's two year old is Landon and he's already a lil' stud (Brittany is also 4 months along). We had fun just eating lunch and catching up. We couldn't resist taking pics of the kids, and here they are. Lily is a little bit older (and chubbier) than the other two babies. It was hard getting all the babies looking up and smiling, especially because Lily would try to eat the other babies if they got too close :D We hope to get together on a regular basis so that our little babies will stay friends.

Teeth and Food

This is her "feed me more" face :)
You can't really see the tooth but I promise it's there.

We just started Lily on foods last week. I think she was a little confused about the whole idea of food other than mommy's milk. Now that it's been a few days, I think she really enjoys it. She wasn't too fond of the mixed veggies (I don't blame her - they smelt nasty!) but she definitely likes the applesauce and bananas.
The other big news this week was that Lily got her first tooth! She is growing way too fast!!!! It made me a little sad. My not-so-little peanut is over 5 months. I can't believe it!!

My Laurels

Making PB cookies - Mmmmm
Playing Spoons. WOo HoO!
Most of you know that I was called to be the Laurel Advisors when we moved. I didn't know how much I'd enjoy it at the time just having a new baby, but I truly do love it. My girls are awesome, and they're my newest friends. They really keep me young - haha. These are some pics we took at this past week's activity. We played games - it was loads of fun!
